Everything is Awesome @ Tokyo Legoland

During a little downtown Tokyo staycation, we visited Legoland in Odaiba. There are not many places that we can all go and everyone is satisfied. Pleasing two toddlers, a teenager, plus mom and dad is no easy task… but Legoland did not disappoint. The Tokyo version of this popular California theme park is sized more like an entertainment center, but our little ones were just as excited about the giant playgrounds, and the indoor rides kept our eldest happy. And we all enjoyed the easy access to legos! Although Jake and I felt humbled after seeing what their master builders did recreating Tokyo. The nuts and bolts of going were very simple: Legoland is inside of Tokyo Decks Mall, which is right off the toll road if you’re driving, and parking is validated with admission to Legoland. Closest train station is Odaibakaihinkoen, so pop that into Hyperdia and you’re on your way. Children’s entrance fees are low, although parents are a little pricey at 2,800¥.

There is a lot to do in Odiaba: views of Rainbow Bridge, tons of shopping, Emerging Science Museum, a beach, and more! We will definitely be making a trip back, especially for a trip through Diver City Mall for H&M, Zara, Old Navy, Forever 21, Bershka… and a look at the giant gundam!
